Walt Disney World – Part 3 (Finally!)

Better late than never, right?

So on the fourth day of our trip, we started our day eating at the buffet at Boma, Flavors of Africa in the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  Neither John nor I had ever been to this resort, but we had heard that it was fabulous.  If you have certain guests rooms, your balcony opens up onto parts of the safari in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Outside, near the pool

Because we didn’t feel like paying to stay there, we did the next best thing and visited for breakfast.

The food was very, very tasty.  Especially the papaya juice blend that they serve instead of orange juice.  Lots of special items on the menu that are reminiscent of African food.  Quite tasty.

After breakfast, we headed back over to Epcot for another day of the Food and Wine Festival.

Because we didn’t start the day off eating in the world showcase for breakfast, we spent the morning in the front of the park.

Charlie and Stitch. She thought he was funny. She was right.

Such a cute family

After riding Spaceship Earth, we decided to show Charlie something special.  What could it be?

Let’s look a little closer, shall we…

Can you see it?  No?  Then closer still…

That’s right!  It’s John and myself at the green arrow!  We had these done in 2004.  We look so young (and thank goodness we stayed together!)  The pink arrow is John’s cousins, a few months before they got married.  Some day, I’m going to have to put up a post about that trip.  Let’s just say it involved a lot of alcohol…

We went back and enjoyed even more food at the festival.  Charlie loved almost everything that she was able to try.  We think she’s going to be a little foodie, just like her parents.

In the evening, we had dinner reservations at Kouzzina by Cat Cora with some special family members, so off to Disney’s Boardwalk we went.

Sitting pretty in a chair that was just her size.

Who were these special people?  John’s Uncle and his wonderful girlfriend.

Family

Dinner was very tasty and it was nice seeing family that we don’t get to see that often.  Especially in a magical place like Disney.

So, one more post to conclude our trip down memory lane.  Hopefully I get to it soon!
